Well, I get going way too fast on this. I guess I took it from a paddle wheeler to a freight train. Still a work in progress, but the folks liked it. House Concert 11/08.

  • So you're waxwing...nice to finally meet you on the Tube. I was looking for Patton tabs and came across your convos from 2000-2003..with Scott, the moderator, lol. Anyway, still looking for those tabs man, and it looks like you know it. Is that in open G? Standard? I thought he used a slide? I have questions John C

  • @booneburg Standard. Fairly common key of E forms. There's a page on weeniepedia that lists all of Patton's tunings and keys. I've reworked the right hand on most of these Patton songs pretty extensively. Cleaned up the left some, too. Hope to get newer vids up sometime. Don't really have tab but may do an instructional vid one of these days.

  • really good

  • I enjoyed your performance. It's tough to capture the feel of the original but you did it.

  • Impresionante.... me dio escalofrios.... el mismo sonido, la misma guitarra.... EXCELENTE.... Muy Bueno....

  • Awesome

  • Thanks man I loved your rendition. Very close to original. That bend always kills me and it pulls the string out of alignment when trying to capo to F#. I also notice you are doing the higher up embellishment a little differently than simply holding and choking the D simple shape like patton. I'd love to hear you perform this in person to see and hear even more detail. Nice work, really!

  • Inspirational!

  • Very good! Patton lives. I'm not the only one. I think he was just as great as Robert Johnson, but there are fewer initiaties.

  • Not many people can pull singing like Charley but you do a good job. Congrats!
