hello, so should I use a gasket or silicone? and if i should use silicone, which one is best? and if i should use a gasket, what type of glue or silicone should i use to hold the gasket?

@lilcheechgurl17 That's an expensive leak to fix, $800 or so depending on where you take it. Book time is 9.1 hours. In order to get the oil pan off you have to remove the exhaust crossover. and in order to remove the exhaust crossover you have to remove the transmission. My suggestion is unless it's pouring out, don't worry about it.

Not the oil pan gasket...this is basically changing your oil, and fixing the rubber washer on the oil bolt. Typically most people don't remove the oil pan, but in my case I am trying to check the condition of the insides (mainly for sludge as toyota can have this issue from a previous owner changing oil to infrequently).
