I wrote this new Robbie Keane song on the train on the way to work the other day.

It's to the tune of 'Fiesta' by The Pogues who are very successful Irish band.

Hopefully it will catch on with the fans and get used at the match

  • @sup3rh1k you've paid far more for far less,we'll agree to differ,yeah.

  • @thescreamsmusic Alonso left because of the Gareth Barry pursuit the previous transfer season, it was decided months before he left that he'd be leaving within the club.

I don't think the loss of Keane affected our chances of winning the league that season.

Besides, I may be bias but I think we were still the best team in the league that year despite not winning the league. Beat United home and away and only lost two all season.

  • @sup3rh1k was he worth the loss of £8 million & no striker when you're in contention for the league?! If it was at Leeds there would be WAR !! Then throwing in Alonso (yer best midfielder in years) onto the transfer list,well....what can ya say?!

  • @MrCrumbe4 Hiya, thanks for the comment but the Lil' focker scored two on the run against us when he came back with Spurs. He had goals in him, loved Liverpool and they sold him.I don't think the manager Benny wanted him or Alonso there.Saint Steve & Fernando were ruling the club back then, still are to a certain extent.Kennys record wouldn't be that much different to Hodgsons for example but the club want Kenny. Its turned into a 'parochial' club, its unfortunate because a great club deserves better.

  • @thescreamsmusic i thank you mean he loss his 'sharpness' he has never been the quickest

  • Good player, £18m your teckin the piss though.

  • He's a different player to the player he was.Players can develop "savvy" to overcome their loss of "pace".Look at Sheringham,Giggs, etc. Keane is actually a prolific international striker,He loves Liverpool - he only played 60 minutes a match under Benny.Liverpool were top of the league when they sold Keane & they were left with Ngog. They sold Alonso & were left with numerous iplayers who couldn't lace his boots.THATS were Liverpool mess up - Great Club, bad owners/management - .LUFC Fan

  • wish he get a better chance but i think we were struggling for money and had to let him go that was the start of our financial decline under hicks n gillet

  • liked him in liverpool tbh kind of missing him :P but still hes fukin shite now innit
