@oxfordpictionary Just because she's female doesn't mean she should be judged on her appearance. There are always going to be people who do that but if you are really passionate about music and the band then appearance doesn't even need to be considered. It's all those people who don't care for other people very much so they judge them on their looks who mess up society. (Not that I'm implying that society is messed up) That is my opinion at least.

I love this woman. I don´t like that she did coke on this interview, but whatever.

1- please tell my its not just me that finds it weird that every time the camera is on the host, the screen is black and white... odd.
2- and on thet opic of earlier versions, i think "the hooks" (the original earlier versions of "gimme sympathy" should end up on an ep, just an idea.

You know I came here to hear about the music producing process and stuff but what that fuck are you talking I actually think her chin is beautiful. I mean she's beautiful. rather interesting than boring.
-
she looks normal, like an actual human being that I can imagine meeting. unlike all the other female music artists with ridiculous amount of make up

@oxfordpictionary just comes with being a member of the fairer sex.

she says some really profound things. the way she views society and herself is something rare to find in music, and people in general. everyone is so media obsessed and worried about fitting into a certain mold. she puts out that none of that is necessary for happiness. learn and grow from life's experiences and be happy about where you came from and who you are. FUCK SUPERFICIALITY.

@zobazoba69 (cotinued) For me, self-pity is the woman who cannot see this and continues to think that society is crushing her poor little bones and mind. Timeshave changed, so should our understanding. And not doing so, is living in lies.

@zobazoba69 Sorry but I think that the feminist dogma of how everything is so much harder on the woman than the man is NOW subject to dicussion. I believe times have changed and there is, right now, a whole lot of free space for women to roam: in some places, evn more space for woman then men. It is NOT seen predujicable for a woman to have a music carreer, as it is no loger prejudicable for her to go to university (actually, we think more of women than men for that fact).

@zobazoba69 Self-pity? Do you truly believe that gender doesn't effect an artist's career? Just look at all the comments on Emily Haines appearance... Female musicias have to be a blank canvas on stage or else they're not taken seriously. What makes Emily Haines so amazing (other than she's an amazing musician, obviously) is that she's not afraid to step outside those bounderies. She's not afraid to be female and a fucking genius. It's not self-pitying, it's reality.
leaving aside the fact that she's female and therefore must be judged on her appearance, she's awesome and a great songwriter.
