  • @ cooler5150... I don't laminate "all" of my prints, but when I do laminate... yes, this is the way I do them, and they do look professional! They have to, as I am a professional business!! When laminating by hand like this, you do get what is called "silvering" on the surface, but after 24 hours or so, it goes away and you are left with a beautiful looking job. One key thing to know is that when using the Big Squeegee to laminate, make sure you have a good, level working surface!

  • @kwikkopy925 Thanks for the reply, this information will be very useful for when I make that big investment purchase of my Roland Printer/cutter! Thanks again, Sam

  • @cooler5150 You're welcome! Good luck on your investment...

  • What kind of table top is that? I am looking to build a new table to use my Big Squeegee with...

  • @Knep115

Legs are from Ikea (3 pieces), the top is a 4' x 8' cutting mat laying on a 1/2" G1S plywood from Home Depot. I don't recall the type of plywood, but I did go high end to ensure no warp in the wood. Total cost of table was approx. $250. It works very well. Only thing is I'd like a larger table now for working with stuff coming off of my new HPL25500 60" printer!!

  • I have a 56" BIG Laminator/Squeegee for sale. Contact me if anybody is interested.

  • Thank you - that was very helpful!

  • Thank you for the demo! Do you laminate all your prints this way, and do they look professional?

  • @kwikkopy925 I have a 4x8 now, and im thinking of building a 4x10 because I fabricate race car bodies from .040 aluminum too, and it comes in 4x10 sheets, even thought about cover the table with a sheet of it, I can get a sheet of white for around 70 bucks...and put it on my exhisting 4x8, with an added leaf, to make it a 4x10...have to wait and see, but I love my BS so far!
