The kid on the ground at the end got hit in the crotch when he jumped to catch the ball after it bounced. If you roll it back and forth you can just see it.

That was a heads-up play by #3 of the purple team! Yes the play should have been dead, but (like the video title says) always hand the ball to the ref on plays like this! Even with the play being dead, the refs couldn't see where the ball was (as they were trying to clear the pile and missed #35 in the white squeezing out with the ball), so they had to rule based on whomever had possession of the ball when they were able to clear the pile, which was #3 on the purple team. Simple as that.

So not only should he technically have been ruled down by contact, but the ref blows the whistle BEFORE the kid drops the ball, which signaled the end of the play.

@dublecc24 it doesnt matter, the refs didnt know who had the ball and the kid spiked it the refs still not knowing who has the ball so the kid is smart and picks it up then the refs know who has it

@TheAdgcb44 the white team had the ball and the play was dead but the ref didnt see the player with the ball and the player just flipped it up and the blue team player grabbed it and the ref saw the blue player with the ball so "blue ball"
