This is a video I shot while driving to class in Escanaba, MI. Just as I began filming, a speed demon (apparently with his/her pants on fire or something) literally blows by me doing 70-75 m.p.h. on an ice covered road the day after the BIG SNOW we had on December 9th, 2009. Not a good thing to do!!!!! This road (M-67 between Chatham and Trenary, MI) has a speed limit of 55 m.p.h. Also wanted to show what the road conditions were like after the first big snow of the season.

  • I do RickInish.....doing 70-75 miles per hour on ice after a snowstorm is foolhardy. You are putting your life in jeopardy as well as other people on the road. I knew a person who lost his life driving like that. He lost control, slid off the highway and wrapped hos car around a tree which killed him instantly.

  • If it's a Yooper they may be all right or lucky,

I'm of the opinion in the U.P. they drive fast in the winter wether ther'ye good at it or not.

  • even if you're late to work, that is crazy fast in those conditions.

  • I see nothing wrong with this.

  • Well I sure wouldn't be going even 50 on a road like that!
