look, for all the haters. first of all, if u got no respect for people who have served in the military like Gen. Eric S., it simply means that u r a racist and likes to disrespect veterans (someone who sweat & bled for our flag). U got problem with that??
Second, Gen. Eric S. never criticize the iraq war, he was telling Rumsfeld right on his face, that we need more troops to win. Bush didn't like it, eric was fired.
Third, he develops Future Combat System. Damn, we can fight Aliens with this.

This incident is commonly known as the Allison incident. Even though the Japanese apologised formally on January 30 (after the Americans demanded they do so), this incident, together with the looting of American property in Nanking that took place at the same time, further strained relations between Japan and the United States, which had already been damaged by the Panay incident less than two months earlier.

On January 26, 1938, during the Rape of Nanking, John M. Allison, at the time consul at the American embassy in Nanking, was struck in the face by a Japanese soldier.

The Panay incident was a Japanese attack on the United States Navy gunboat Panay while she was anchored in the Yangtze River outside of Nanjing on December 12, 1937.
Japan and the United States were not at war at the time. The Japanese claimed that they did not see the United States flags painted on the deck of the gunboat, apologized, and paid an indemnity. Nevertheless, the attack and the subsequent Allison incident in Nanjing caused U.S. opinion to turn against the Japanese.

i wouldn't be calling other people brain dead. you probably know next to nothing about what led to the bombing of pearl harbor and if you did, you'd probably think it was justified. i have no love for imperial japan but when you cut off steel and oil to a country, that's pretty much a declaration of war. and let's say Japan got what they deserved. so on that premise, if our gov't does something shitty, you must agree that there is a right to make all of us pay for it? say hi to bin laden for me.
Hmm, taking care of the veterans after they have served. What a novel idea! Let's hope the VA can get their act together.
