I've been wanting to ask, how's this knife come out of the box, sharpness wise? I know you reprofiled your edge and that was beastly but just curious.

@jankerson1 Could it cut the yellow book paper as well as after you sharpened it? I doubt it but thought I might ask. I'm debating between this and the normal d2 710. ;)

Very few knives come out of the box sharp enough to slice phonebook paper without tearing it. I don't judge any knife on factory edges because I sharpen all my users once I get them.
