Released in 2001, Comfort Eagle is my favorite Cake album and a total gem in the Cake discography. There is NOTHING wrong with it. 10/10

  • @nickjackshawn Holy shit, I have no idea. I just tried to do it again and it was really hard, so I have no clue why i did it there lol.

  • @SirAllAboutMusic I just tried doing it and it was surprisingly easy :O Maybe my hand is broken, or something, I don't know :P Anyway, this is my favorite album too. Cake is awesome :D

  • @p1x3lman arco arena?

  • definitely think this is Cake's best; but I don't see it as that much more different stylistically than what Cake has done before. They've always had a signature sound, and this album doesn't stray away from it all that much. The difference is most of these tracks are some of the best and most memorable the band has ever done.

  • years later got cake nostalgia and picked it up, maybe when chief came out, but not sure. nugget/magic would probably benefit, be tighter, with a few tracks cut to get them in the 40 min range. chief had too many weak tracks imo. looking forward to 01-11-11 though.

  • i agree this is their best sequenced record. i heard the distance/survive and got nugget. later got magic when it came out. liked both, though very similar. they kinda went off my radar for awhile, but i remember seeing eagle at the listening station, skimming through and thinking it was the same old thing, so i didn't get it...
