Anil Kumar Saha -- North Indian Classical vocal musician and teacher:

North Indian Classical Vocal Musician Anil Kumar Saha was born on 21st April 1965 at Kadim Malanchi village under the district of Pabna and police station Sujanagar. His father was Shri Sachindra Nath Saha and mother is Smt. Usha Rani aha. They have been living permanently in Shirajganj since 1972. Anil Kimar Shaha started his education first in the village school and later on continued in Shirajganj. His first step in music was with Mr Mahabubur Rahman from 1978-1980 at Shirajganj Mukul Fouz Sangeet Vidalaya.
In 1981 Mr Saha met with legendry maestro of Indian classical music Ustaad Abu Daud Khan. Since then he started taking regular Taalim from Ustaadji and on the basis of Guru-Shisha tradition the Taalim continues till 1999. Besides his sincere hard work he carried on classical music related academic education under Rabindra Bharati University and Indira Kala Sangeet University Kharga. From there he was awarded Sangeet Bibhakar (Bachelor of Music) and Sangeet Ratna (Master of Music). In the M.Mus examination he became first class first and achieved gold medal for his talent.
In Dhaka Mr Anil performed his first performance at Bishwa Shaittya Kendra auditorium, organised by Suddha Sangeet Prashar Gosthi. After that he didn't look back and performed in home and abroad with great honour.
Anil Kumar Saha is an artist of special grade in Bangladesh Betar (Radio) and Bangladesh television. He is appointed as an examiner and B.Mus question producer in the National University. He is also a member of the committee of music syllabus of National Educatioan and Text Book Board. At present he is working as a senior lecturer of classical music at Shanta Marium University.

Apart from being a performer he is a very outstanding music teacher. Locally he teaches classical vocal music at Bulbul Lalitkala Academy, Hindol Sangeet Academy, Anandam

Sangeetaian, Sur Saptak Sangeet academy and Naba Raag Sangeet Academy. Many renowned and popular artists of the country are taking regular Taalim on classical music from him.
His wife Sharmishtha Roy is equally cultural minded and by profession she is a school teacher. His son Arijeet Saha Arna is fond of music and painting and daughter Murchana Saha Othoi is learning dance and painting.
Anil Kumar Saha has achieved several honours and awards from renowned organisations, such as Sangeet Gram (India), Baithaki Sangeet Ashar, Srijan, Nandan Cultural Organisation, Sri Komol Sangeet Vidalaya (Shirajganj), Ucchash Lalitkala Academy, Nattyashabha and Katha Lalitkala Academy.
Anil Kumar Saha was nominated twice as The Best Classical Singer at Citycell Channel i Music Award in 2004 and 2007. He has released three cassettes and CDs of classical vocal music titled as Shruti, Joari and Illusion. To mark his dedication and contribution in the field of Indian Classical Music he has published two very helpful and informative books on Classical Music. First one is Sangeet Prabeshak released from Anupam Prakashani and second one is Sur Nirjhar, published by Momo Prakashani.
