dogs dont have the same nutritional value as chickens, nor do they produce eggs (well, edible shelled ones if you want to get all literal)

They were brought up as a domesticated animal for protection and companionship. granted they do eat dogs in certain countries like korea, but its a delicacy and is not mass produced

Well thank you go being calm and intelligent when responding to my comment. My opinion is, I don't think because chickens are tasty, and since us humans are stronger than them, that we have the right to slaughter and ingest them at our will. They cannot defend for them self, and killing them just because we think they taste good, is wrong. Humans are smart (for the most part) and we don't need to rely on the killing of other animals to survive.

and therefore, we have every right to domesticate and and use them for food and other products. its not like racism or other forms of bigotry where we think we're "better" than them. we are a more advanced species. and if they cant defend themselves in the slightest bit or revolt, then there is no stopping us

alright, first I'd like to thank you for actually responding to my comment with an answer relevant to it

infants cant defend themselves (at least not that I know of), sure. but they're infants. you raise them to become intelligent, productive human beings. you cant do that with a chicken. all you can raise it to be is, well, a chicken. it cant form a civilization or a society, it cant make tools or technology, and it cant form things like language or trade and currency. they are inferior to us

I believe the first responder answering your first question. You can't communicate with infants. Should we beat them to death too? And are you seriously accusing a chicken of being racist? That's pathetic. Alright, to answer your question, yes I would still defend them. Brutally murdering an animal can't even compare to him/her being "racist".
