This is a sweet potato that I'm growing indoors. It has done an amazing growth since it's last update viewing about 8 days ago.

  • Sweet! I love all your creative videos!

  • @Andalbanon Thank you! :)

  • this is great so you dont plant yours in the soil thats how you started it just with sticks out of each side and over a bowl ??? did you do anything else ? I know someone else who just waited for them to "Chit" (where they grow the eyes) and then through them in dirt and they grew alot.

  • @LuvHealthNConception Yeah, for this "experiment" I just grew them like that. I didn't really knew where the stem and the roots will grow out of, I guess I took the chance thinking that the roots will always find it's way to the water and the plant will grow opposite of the water. Success! Lol. It's about 3 weeks old now.

  • nice... maybe time to plant in soil?

  • @adidasbooi Heheee. That's what this vid is about. ^^

  • WOW, Jane, that's amazing, looks like they don't go rotten in the water. What you can do is cut the runners off, leaving some behind & start new plants with the runners. You'll get more sweet potatoes from those plants than the original plant. If you have room for more containers you'll have more greens than you know what to do with, good luck with that, bye

  • when I grow my sweet potatoes I only plant the slips , they can be taken off and if still rooted will transplant fine.. the potato is not planted in the ground, the potato will probably produce more slips and then you can have many more.. so I wonder how this will work for you will be interesting to see..:)

  • okay so does i need to watch this when i am not multi tasking to see exactly how you did this b/c i am going to try planting mines my way and your way as well i think this is really neat!! thanks.
