A day in the life in Japan (Winter)

http://www.blueblankyproductions.com This was a video I shot and put together to show to the fam and friends a few years back illustrating an average day teaching English in Japan.
It all takes place in the city of Oita, about a 90 minute flight south west of Tokyo, on Kyushu island.
This is LONG, about 37 minutes, but will show what teaching English overseas, particularly in Japan, is like.

You are a consumate professional when it comes to being the "giggly, loves-bad-conversations, harmless foreigner/English teacher". You do it masterfully, with the giggles and the interest in statements like "I am play golf. very good annnnnnd happy so." You respond with "Fantastic! Wow!" That is exactly what they want, that is how you get paid, and that is English teaching in Asia in a nutshell.

To be honest, living in Japan looks kind of depressing. Okay sure I can see it's fun at first playing with the language and all that but after that what happens? No wonder many gaigin get together to survive the feeling of isolation. For me I prefer visiting 2-3 weeks at a time and heading back home to recover and get on with my life.
