Letter to my Daughter

Thoughts experessed about my daughter Anaiah. First time using Adobe Premiere Pro so it looks as if I need a little more practice. It is supposed to go backwards and you are not intended to be able to read it all in one shot.....

I chose to do the video this way as a way at looking at life. Time is set before us, and as we move forward closer to death, the opportunities to say what we want fall away. We must make sure to always express ourselves to those we love, for someday that privilege will be gone. There is no going back, no ability to change what has been said or done.

When reading this, it is evident that text is disappearing, but the meaning is the same throughout. There is no need to rush though because we must learn to appreciate the moments. To sometimes sit in silence and just be.

If you love someone, let them know, you don't want to be sitting there at the end of it all with regrets. I love my daughter and she will always know that. Even if I dont get to express everything, what is left is still love.

Time is precious and it is something we can never get back.

The song is Opus #14 by Dustin O'Halloran. I saw him in concert with K.D. Lang and was deeply moved by his simplistic style, but intensely emotional pieces. Brilliant!

Dearest Anaiah,

You are the light in my life. My soul will always be, for it lives within you. My love is never ending, even when I shall pass away from this existence. Fourteen months have swiftly gone by since I was blessed with your presence. My little miracle is growing so fast. My heart pumps life through this sometimes fragile body, but with each new breath, eac new day, you inspire me. The power you exude is absorbed into my being and it gives me strength. Strength to keep me going, to improve, to build a better life, a hugher consciousness, a more enlightened way of life. Freedom is an experience that is becoming my experience thanks to you. I now can feel the possibilities that are within my grasp and I love all that I can be; more importantly I cherish all that you can be. Your opportunities are endless my little gift from God. Anything is possible when love envelops you. You have been give the key, in fact, you are master of that key; use it to open the sacred box, the one that holds the secrets to life. Peer inside, withink that box is whatever you decide to take with you. May you manifest in this world something that I could never do, something that has never been done. Hold your head high, dream unthinkable dreasm, reach unreachable heights, love without reservations and know that you are a light to all those whos presence you grace. You possess something very few people will ever know and understand, you have been given the best of your parents who have endured so much so that you may experience all the fruits this earth has to offer. There will be no corruption within you. Soar above the clouds my flawless angel and reveal your glorious being. Journey to places that have not been explored, both in mind and in the world. You are the answer, you are the one, you have lifted me up, given me hope and more importantly you have revealed in me all that I can be. I live for you and some day I will leave this earth, but I will always reside in you. Knowing these things gives me great comfort Anaiah. I love you with every fiber of my being, like a Mother Bear who cares for her cubs, I am willing to sacrifice all for you. I am your shielf until you are ready to go on your own. I will never hinder you or create obstacles, but instead I pledge to be your humble father, always being there for you to find comfort, advice, encouragement and love.
