David Ellis - Making of OKAY at the Mattress Factory

David Ellis spent several weeks working on a piece that will be featured in "Inner and Outer Space." This is Part III of the series documenting his process while completing a residency at the museum. "Inner and Outer Space" opens on April 25, 2008 and runs through January 11, 2009.

The Mattress Factory is a museum of contemporary art that presents "art you can get in to" -- room--sized environments, created by in--residence artists. Located at 500 Sampsonia Way, on Pittsburgh's North Side, since 1977, the Mattress Factory is hailed as the best facility for installation art in the United States.
