While infidelity is an extremely difficult issue to cope with, it doesn't need to be the end of your marriage. Michele Weiner-Davis advises that you should anticipate the ups and downs that are associated with the road to recovery when dealing with infidelity. However, once you and your spouse fight through to the other side, many times your marriage can be stronger than where it was prior to the affair.

  • @gbarsap Why do you say that her publications are weak on the topic of unrepentant spouses? Just my opinion here, but I would think that no spouse needs any instruction in that regard. Simply put, if a spouse is determined to continue an affair, they need to move out. I would not advocate divorce, but I definitely would insist on a separation. When you separate from the betrayal in progress, it restores some modicum of peace in your home so that you can continue to live your life.

  • @gbarsap In what ways are her publications weak on the topic of unrepentant spouses? Just my opinion here, but I would think that no spouse needs any instruction in that regard. Simply put, if a spouse is determined to continue an affair, they need to move out. I would not advocate divorce, but I definitely would insist on a separation. • I appreciate Michele Weiner-Davis' views on this topic, but I think that her videos, forums, and even her books are weak when it comes to how to deal with an unrepentant spouse hot in the midst of infidelity who has no intention of stopping the affair.
