In a disaster prone country, it is a good thing to have a handle on disaster vocabulary. Learn the words for earthquake, tsunami, flood, hurricane, landslide, tornado, and fire. Also learn how to say victim, take shelter, and evacuee.

Here is a link for the next video, which deals with words like: support, volunteer, donation, non-profit organization, and more!

  • This is good. Very thoughtful of you.

BTW, The word you were casting about for to describe the situation afterwards is "aftermath". (Still sometimes used in its original sense in farming - the state of a field after the crop has been cut).

You might have covered it in another vid, but if not - how about giving "warning..." (or whatever they say at the start of a PA)? Also "emergency!" "run!" & "help!" would be good! Thanks!

  • @jistaface "aftermath" that's it. Thanks!

Those are excellent words to cover. I will cover them in a future video. Thank you for the idea.

  • If the was anything like a earthquake and I didn't know how to say it I would just screen "run!!!!! It's Godzilla!!!!!!"

  • Good stuff!

  • @GaijinGuide

Thanks! Whatever people yell out as a warning, "danger!/watch out!" would be good as well.

  • Definitely useful vocabulary.
