A discourse on religion given by the Mother Superior Delbene to her youthful charge Juliette, read by Solomon with music written for The Lobster Quadrille
It is, of course, quite possible, gentle viewers, to read and even enjoy a book without adopting it entire as your life's philosophy. We're not all looking for a bible substitute. Your bible is a rancid piece of ignorance and prejudice, with some genuine insight thrown in. I might actually describe a good deal of Sade's work the same way. The difference is, I don't worship him or his prose. I enjoy this particular passage for what it says about YOUR asinine beliefs, LTDL. Little more.
@Ecdysiast96 " I dont have to believe in god to be a good person" .. . Well, THATS just the thing, .. THAT is NOT quite what de Sade here sayes ! Again, your aparently not adequately familiar with this or any of his books !
@thelobsterquadrille So you take exception to "crimes against the body" ? .. Well, speaking of THAT, just read THIS book in it's entirety ( obviously you haven't ) .
Or simply those with enough critical intelligence to reject the ancient collection of myths and fetid prejudices that you call "God's Word." I'm a live and let live type, believe it or not, but if you want to bring your silliness here, I'll be happy to engage. Your foolish religion has millenia of crimes to answer for, against the body and the mind.
@thelobsterquadrille THANK YOU
I am making a film based on Sade's work, and I ha ve to explain that so much.

I always imagined Delbene's voice as more of a... uh... soprano.

My time on YT has led me to a discovery -- 'Reptiles' hate 'God's Word'.
