Im not so sure that "understanding" the band comes into it tbh. They are their for you to interpret for your self :)
Also I wish I was younger when I had got into them. Started listening to them at the age of 14 and 2ish years on I havent listened to anything else since.

Plath and Pinter were 2 incredibly intellectual writers (and play writers) whom had a powerful way with words.
Richey James Edwards (<3) wrote around 80% of the lyrics on the Holy Bible and this song details his knowledge of the spoken word.
Basically he is boasting about how fabulous a writer he truly is (AND I BELIEVES HIM) lol
