Good man for going back and rescuing the satnav, the offroad gods will look kindly apon you. (Well, except for the broken leg thing, so I suppose the off road gods had it in for you for past deeds at one point B-).)
I had my 225TX (Serow?) out last weekend in the snow.

Ewan McGregor had the same problem on his GS1200 in long way round, just take out the plugs and crank it over a few times, the rest will just evaporate :)

Its funny. I hardly see puddles like that down here in New Zealand but they do exist. I nearly drowned my RM 125 in one.
Also, are those public roads or something?
