@Jimbrady57 The main problem Mr. Hovind has was that he lied. He called his museum a product of his scientific research. When he was asked to pay, as all scientific museums must, the taxes on property and payroll he said "No. This is a church. This is my ministry."
So they sued him. If he could have just said from the start that this was a religious project he would have every right to fight the conviction and he would have won. His arrogance put him in prison.
