  • hope you realise those bags were probably out for charity,i will be trying this method except i will ask for clothes instead of swinging by and picking up charity bags!

  • @Vega4381 actually there was just a big sign on them that said "Free take all, No sorting" so that's what I did. I live away from town and there is no charity that picks up out here. But thanks for your concern.

  • how works this target ? is that durable ?

  • @misooo1 you will shoot out the cardboard but the old rags will last forever, just throw them in a new box. If you want to build a wooden box with a chicken wire front it will last as long as you want to shoot it. make sure it is at least 1 ft deep and pack the rags tight.

  • will this stop bear charge compound bow at 63pounds 28in draw lenght 305fps

  • @TheKirky12 make sure your box is deep enough (front to back, about 24 in would be plenty), fill it up with rags, pack them down a little, and it will stop them. If you notice your arrows starting to go in to deep just fluff your rags.

  • Spray a dot on with some red spray paint and you're goood to go.

  • MC Hammer called, he wants his hunting pants back

  • workes good untill the box rips but its worrth finding a new box

  • This what I do but a bit different; I fold the clothes flat, so that they are layers from the impact point to the back.

I know, it seems anal to do, but I bent an arrow once because I guess it hit one type, then a gap, then another type. I pulled it out and was so dismayed :( but from that point on I literally fold them up, denser in the back, softer in front. For crossbow bolts I reverse.

I take a piece of old carpeting and wrap it around, backing forward, then target. Easy to replace.

  • Make another vid but this time use the gas and make a flam ing target. Good video too :D

  • This idea is great! I use a Barnett Wildcat C5 crossbow and it stops the bolts perfectly. They go in about half way and the fletching is not damaged at all. I used a regular cardboard shipping box and taped a target to the side of it. When one side gets shot up, I tape a new target on the other side until that side is spent. Then recycle the clothes/rags into a new cardboard box.

    Thanks for the idea!

  • how does this target work with broadheads?

  • Perfect, picked up some rags from the disposal store and made my first target in 10 minutes.

Stopped a Bear Charge Compound set a 60pounds 29" draw no problem at all.

    Cheers

    Hurls
