Reinforcing lesson 1 on "2-Sound walking step", adding making the "3-sound walking step" by adding the flatfooters' "double toe" sound. Plus a little about the "rock step" (or "ball step", which helps to frame a rhythm, or create the "alamo" rhythm). Keep the down-up rhythm going throughout all these steps.

  • This is fun, and I think you are doing a good job at explaining, giving a good insight in how the movement is built up.

  • @DeSjaan if you are a beginner, you may find yesterdays new "HD" post about double chugs and remedial walking step tips helpful. keep at it

  • @moonshineV Hoi, I sure am a beginner. Currently a bit under the weather, but my intend is indeed to keep at it.

  • Thanks for the reply. You are a good teacher and also very enchanting to watch. I like it. I will stay and learn, starting tomorrow morning. Good luck with your videos. Best wishes and Happy New Year- PJT

  • @Philobiblion wow, thanks for the compliment. my first time trying to teach. just learned myself only 2.5 yrs ago, so please don't take it as "the final answer" in flatfooting.

  • This is marvelous. I am a 63 year old man and I am convinced I can learn this from this magical teacher. You are great. I am with you Lady all the way.

  • @DeSjaan cool, a Dutch student in Belgium! Check out today's Lesson #3. Got to keep up because we start doing the chug-brush-chug step later this week! I look fw to someday dancing to your bagpipes
