  • Alright, let's settle this. ChicagoAnchorman, why don't you go to work and bring a camera along with you.

  • I liked this tease/promo. Worked really well at the same time.

  • What happened to John Balaris?

  • Chicago Anchorman is an annoying troll and an angry old man who got fired from his anchor job.

  • How about this: I think you're all overgrown children. Stop bitching about things that nobody cares about and just watch the fucking video.

  • THIS WAS The first time a network affiliate attempted a newscast at 4pm in Philadelphia, the reason ch 10 did it was they were losing money buying expensive syndicated programs to run against Oprah, and they were not pulling in the numbers to offset the cost so 10 thought It doesn't cost them much more to start the news at 4pm,every 1 gets the same salary,it turned out to be a successful move for them at the time by the summer of 98 when Oprah was in repeats FIRST AT 4 was barely beating Oprah

  • When was this recorded?

  • He's at WTXF news now (FOX 29).

  • No. The Tower was a collaboration between WMAQ and KNBC, based upon the NewsCenter signature. At no time was it "meant" to be the new O&O "theme," as NBC did not and does not force it's stations to brand with a certain sound. It just happened to catch on. The WNBC theme is most certainly NOT an update of The Tower. Please listen to the folks that are in the business (especially those that work for NBC, eh?) and don't argue with something that you are not familiar with.

  • Why are you talking about Gari, then?

And he's right: the two versions of this signature were used on NBC O&Os. They didn't take as well as Tower, like he said. And thus, the signature is now only found on WCAU.
