health problem or not, if people can't take you for who you are then Quite Plainly Screw Them, they're not worth you time.
only concern yourself with people that matter to you and who you matter to.
this is my about me on facebook, any way cheers and good luck.
short, fat, bald, 4 eyed old fart with a bent sense of humor who doesn't care what people think about how he looks. people take me as I am or not. I only have 1 rule - treat people like people.

First of all, you are correct...ANYONE who thinks weight loss surgery is easy is CRAZY!!!!!! I had the band done and lost a LOT of weight in 6 months...230 to 118...if anyone thinks that is easy, then they haven't done it...it had complications and was harder than dieting and exercising.

I think your beautiful they way you are, but losing weight for health reason's is a good reason and not for anyone else. And I'm sorry for your sisterand for surgery some say it's an easy way out. And going to the gym 2 times a day seems like over kill, it's going to progress but not overnight it's gonna take some time, time you don't think you have but you do good luck

I was gonna add, I am in the same boat as you. I went to my info session and just turned in my huge packet of info. My primary doc thinks its the best option for me. I like you, have had many failed attempts to loose it on my own. I'm TERRIFIED of the horror stories I have heard too. Terrified. But I am more scared of the other health problems that come with being obese. Im terrified of my insulin resistance turning into diabetes, Im terrified of heart disease or heart attack (theres a lot of

This video really touched me. Please don't focus on the amount of weight you need to lose overall. Losing even 10% of your body weight can improve your health immensely. We all have to take it one step at a time. I would recommend visiting fatty2slim's channel for inspiration. Thanks for sharing with us.

I came across this pretty randomly but ended up listening to the whole thing. I feel sort of weird commenting because I don't know you, but this video was pretty touching.
As far as the surgery goes: Only you can decide what's right for you.
But either way, honey, you're beautiful. Inside and out.

Elle, I had RNY in April of this year. My turning point was when I read an article about Star Jones who said when there is a significant amount of weight to lose, that medical intervention is absolutely necessary. Also, I will take saggy skin (which you can hide BTW), over FAT any day. I'm almost 100 pounds down, with about 50 to go. My life has improved 150%. Good luck in your decision. I'm here if you have any questions. Sorry about your sister.
I had the surgery and my wife had it last year. Combined we have lost over 210 lbs. (wife:165lbs in 12 months me:47lbs in 2 months) I don't know if I can actually "recommend" anyone to have the surgery... Only because it is SUCH a life altering event. BUT, what I can say is I am still over weight (299lbs this morning) and I have never felt better than how I feel right now, it is not about what others say or think, it is about how you feel about how you are. Keep in mind, it's only a tool...

Thank you for that. I absolutely understand it's a tool, it's not like I'm getting lipo and coming out of surgery thin. But I am just debating whether to take this step...
