The real question is, how much of the increased taxes were a result of Huckabee policies and initiatives? Of the $500 M increase, $400 M was a direct result of an order by the Supreme Court, not Mike Huckabee!

Tell 'em! It's about time someone came out and clarified that without being connected to a biased media outlet!
Of course, people get fooled by the anti-Huck rhetoric. they forget that he actually GOVERNED a state that had a Democrat legislature-which is hard to do. He got things done, when most candidates have nothing to show to back their own supposed stances.

Huckaee balanced the budget every year in Arkansas and he never said the would raise taxes in his presidential run yet Romney controlled DC insiders kept saying that he would. I agree... Huckabee is a fiscal conservative.

Is that all these politicians can do? Fight over who is better, more conservative?
Jesus didn't need to speak, his actions showed his virtue.
Mike Huckabee, I thought you were above all these political games. I am saddened that I am mistaken.

I work as an accountant and I agree that in the bigger scheme of things the tax code is impoosible to work with and bad for business. So even if the taxes were the same the fair tax would be a much better system. I also am supporting Huckabee although it looks like a tough fight and if it comes down to Romeny and McCain McCain at least may consider having Huckabee as vice President although it isn't over yet. Romney I don't think would.

MarkDouglasC has got to be the dumbest man alive! He spams all Fair tax video's. He surely is a glutton for punishment. We've mopped the floor with his ass so many times, but he just keeps coming back for more. He's either a mental patient or IRS... or both. Anybody who pays any attention to him is as crazy as he is.

YOu gotta be kidding. Huck honestly depends on the stupid vote. People who are easily fooled, people who dont know math, history, or logic.

Find out the "rest of the FT story" Get cancer surgery and chemo -- 35K in taxes. Buy a new house - 80K in taxes. Go on vacation for two weeks -- 3K taxes. Buy mid size SUV -- 6K in taxes. Need Nursing home care -- 14K per year sales tax per year. Lot of taxes they dont mention. You will be suprised.

The problem with Huckabee is that he appeals to educated and independent thinking people, of which there is a minority in the Republican Party. It is much easier to vote for other RINOs which establishment promotes.

Go Mike!
Great research and info. It may not be the most entertaining video, but if anyone is really doing their research, this is one to watch. Great job!

Hahah. Yeah, I wish I could make it more interesting. Unfortunately, I've got about as much charisma as Fred Thompson. This vid is at least a little better than my other ones which are even slower and less interesting.

vonflowers, you nailed it! If people would read about the FairTax and realize what it would do for our economy and our pockets, they would be voting for Huckabee in droves! Even the pundits admit that it would jump start our economy like nothing ever before! Fair Tax Now!

Exactly. It really makes you wonder why none of the other candidates have it on their agendas. Do they really think they're gonna fix the system just by passing another tax cut? Hogwash. Something much more daring needs to be done. The other candidates are just playing games.

Yea, did taxes increase overall or decrease under Huckabee? Did state spending increase or decrease under Huckabee?

There's probably not a politician on the planet that can claim spending didn't increase during his time in office. Every new budget has to account for inflation, cost of living, etc. But what politicians can do is cut the rate of growth so that its growth doesn't out-resource its available funds. That's what Huckabee did. He ended up with a multi-million dollar surplus at the end of his term. Percentage rates on taxes remained the same.
