THAT is some INTENSE music

Im my oppion, water is the TOUGHEST part of eventing. It takes a lot to train a horse to trust you jumping them into a somewhat deep water "pond". And these are just mistakes that happen..NOTHING cruel.. if you think eventing is cruel..than dont watch the eventing falls videos! b/c it is a hard, kick ass sport

most accidents r when the horses head is held too tightly

I don't think so, it's been so long since I've seen it though... will have to pull it out and check again.

@Tijs4Life does it say anything about the song on the dvd credits? i've been looking for it too.

at least for the most part the horses wait and don't run off

Jeeze!! I can see trying to make cross country courses challenging but I think they should also make them safer and a little easier!

@MADHorrsie
There's multiple waters shown here. The intended pathways are supposed to only be deep enough such that a mount could easily gallop through it.... but it's part of a big lake that can get pretty deep.
One of the horses (Andeguy, under Richard Meade) got away from him and went straight for the center of the lake, and it got up to nearly his neck.... but then he turned for a parallel shore and the audience caught him for Richard (who waded out after him!)

Sure, but the scary thing is that if there's an injury that prevents you from immediately getting up (or if the horse pins you), then there's a risk of inhaling water and/or drowning.
