So just how much jam do these motors have? Is it unlimited vertical power or just enough to cruise nicely? Also if I may ask what size lipos are you using and what kind of run times could I expect?

@canonphoto It's got more than enough power, it will climb out with authority although not with unlimited vertical (which you don't want in a plane like this anyway) I'm using 3 cell 5000mah Packs.

Great vid, nice flying, shame about the "tacky" music. Would have been great to just listen to the Hackers.

To be truthful I hate people who think like you. An electric brushless outrunner runs with a high pitch whine and a whirring sound. The generally ALL sound like that. There's nothing remotely pretty or unique about it. Pretending like a 250-350 watt motor has a sound like a Nissan VQ or a Rolls Royce Merlin (in that it is pleasant to listen to) is a joke. If you don't like the tunes, turn off the audio.

BUT, I do like the sound of the electric motors....
Nothing fake about it, just as I like the smell of a two stroke motor or the whaft of glow fuel from my heli.
No need to be so sensitive, I enjoy the hobby.

Fine, I've got a Medusa 5800Kv 12mm motor, it should just fit in an ear canal if inserted with enough force....
