Muddy Waters sings "You can't lose what you never had" at Chorlton Railways Station in 1963 billed as The Blues Gospel Train to Chorltonville Station. This was actually at Chorlton Station (Now Morrison's Supermarket - but the Railway Tracks are still there).
Amazing that he came to our home town.
My Gosh, how I wish I'd been there - a truly seminal moment in the torrent of blues that washed over Europe in the sixties - saw Mr Waters and others many times in London, Brighton etc., but this has a real groundbreaking atmosphere about it.

@philipwight Not too many members from Muddy's band left around anymore, Pinetop Perkins died earlier this year as well.

No humungous amps or earth-shaking PA, but what a great sound.

This is simply lovely! Also the stories you all tells us here. Thanks for that. I saw also the man in the rockin chair that you say.

same guy in the rockin chair as in the Sister Rosetta Tharpe vid - same gig or just same crew, different time? ...were you there, can you tell us if this was a regular venue for such stuff?
