Google's approach to alternate device platforms (e.g. Google TV and the new point-and-shoot camera) has been to treat them as fairly separate targets for apps, so I would expect them to be aiming at a unique app ecosystem for the camera, and thus there's no problem with the Gingerbread version of Android on it.

The lower resolution is because of the samsung quad core processor not able to run high res displays.. Nothing to do with the wacom pen.

why should sd cards be discarded? it lends to the form factor. why can't phone users have the option to store and remove data? the other options are cloud storage or desktop/laptop storage, but cloud storage obviously depends on having an internet connection. if i'm out and about, i want to be able to take out my sd card at will, and not find a wifi layer 1 or 4G connection.
