Level 3 Pt. 2- The Empire Strikes Back NES / Echo Base

PLEASE COMMENT! The following is part of a video-only walkthrough of "The Empire Strikes Back" title for the original Nintendo. There are ten levels total.

LEVEL 3: Echo Base
This is one of my favorite levels of ESB-NES. Progression is slightly nonlinear and puzzle-based. This section involves Luke fighting, then commandeering an AT-ST walker to navigate a large "damaged area" which is impassable on foot. Finally, the Enhanced Blaster power is found, which makes destroying the final Probe Droid and Cannon Walker much easier.

There's a game bug that allows you to defeat the final Cannon Walker without taking a hit. It'll work with a few of the tougher enemies in the game. If there's any interest I'll post a video on it.

Most people never got through the first few levels of this flawed, but impressive NES game. As such, most online reviews and videos are done only with the first Hoth level as reference. Since few online resources even have screenshots of later levels, these videos are meant for illustrative purposes so gamers can see what they missed.

3:16 : I remember playing this game when I was 5-6 years old, and this is ALWAYS where I got stuck, fighting this boss. I tried so hard to beat him; dodging him, just attacking him and such, but it never worked for me. Nice to know he's actually beatable who knows what they're doing though. Thanks for uploading these, btw. I finally get to "finish" a game I never managed to beat before the NES got traded in. :)

As a kid I did make thru echo base but to beat the atst and that other thing I had to use my blaster and stay out of range it was dagobah where I got stuck the giant grasshopper or whatever always killed me using emulator I was finally able to beat esb for nes

whoah seeing that X-wing fly to Dagobah just unlocked a long forgotten memory of mine.  Sitting there in my room at around 12 years old feeling such a sense of accomplishment after finally beating that level. I knew it was only going to get tougher.
