Teitur: A Night at the Opera

Den 30. november 2008 bød et udsolgt Operaen på Holmen op til en ganske særlig koncert; i samarbejde med Danmarks Radio fyldte Teitur med band og DRs Underholdning Orkester samt Vokal Ensemblet scenen med ikke mindre end 25 mand.

Det blev til en koncert, hvor Teitur spillede -- eller opførte om man vil -- hele The Singer-albummet plus et par afstikkere som Josephine og Great Balls of Fire.

Og det hele optaget af DR i det man bedst kan kalde en storproduktion. Det har resulteret i en live CD med tilhørende DVD, der dokumenterer dette fantastiske møde og koncert i både lyd og billede.

For Teitur er det hans første live CD nogensinde, og samtidig var det en drøm, der gik i opfyldelse. Det smittede i den grad positivt af på denne fine aften i Operaen.

Teitur: A Night at the Opera udkom d. 29. marts som live CD med tilhørende DVD

Teitur vandt en DMA for Årets Danske Sanger i 2007, en DMA for Årets Danske Singer/Songwriter Udgivelse med "The Singer" i 2009 og åbnede Orange Scene på Roskilde Festivalen 2008.

@all3st I agree that he´s got a distinctive voice and he´s got a handfull of nice songs "Sleeping ..." "Loui" and his John Lennon cover was fine.

@fortheloveoftunes Of course everyone has their opinions... but I cannot understand what you mean by overrated? He’s different, he's artistic, he's a poet, he has his very own distinctive voice and not to mention he's hell of a good songwriter ;)

I'm okay with the fact you don't like him, he is an acquired taste :) but he's definitely not overrated... he isn't even that popular :)

One of the most overrated artist in modern history. Been to three of his concerts and I´m just not convinced!
