Blood Stream Bandits is our entry to the 24h ExPlay GameJam that happened on the 5th-6th November 2012 at the Science Museum London. The theme was "Deception".

This game was inspired by viruses deceiving the body defenses by pretending to be harmless cells.

In our game, you control little triangular shapes, which you can move together to form squares. The goal is to avoid being eaten by the monsters coming from the right. There are two types of monsters, one eats triangles and the other eats squares. You can deceive them by arranging your units in the corresponding opposite shape. Occasionally there are yellow power-ups floating into the screen that give you additional triangles to play with. The game gets faster and harder over time and is over when you lose all your units.

It runs on Android and we didn't use any libraries - the game was written from the very scratch (blank MainActivity.java file). Quite hardcore, and if we did it again, I guess we'd use some libraries. Made by Robin Baumgarten, Benjamin Donoghue and Gorm Lai. Sounds by Doug Pennant.
