analog synthesizers are much more "hands-on" in their methods of shaping sound, with their continuously (and infinitely) variable knobs; old-school electronics not based on digital sound manipulation or computers. much like using a candle, lenses and a prism to seperate beams of light instead of... lasers?
the video truly is an amazing piece of art.

not nearly enough recognition for the absolute master of melody. The man who brings pure innocent eternity to the front lines of mens fear and his confused violent dogs for the audience to witness history. what a kind and beautiful person

I very much like this song and video. It really appeals to my brain. I can roughly guess, but since I don't know how to make music, I don't understand the metaphor. I wish I did though!

the piece is meant to portray a synthesizer of light. the light's process loosely resembles those employed by analog synthesizers, the type used on the track. the crystal represents the intangible as heard by the listener: a mix between the artist's personal creativity and the 'magical', unseen processes within the technology used to express his thoughts. there's magic in the fact that a single electric current can be transformed into music so provocative. that's the beauty/mystery of analog.
