How is the action most of the Resonters have a higher action? Also did you prefer an emg to fight the feedback or have you made one with a none active pickup?
BluesHeavy 2 years ago
Action is a little higher than regular, to allow both slide and fretted playing but resos don't necessarily have high actions, it depends on how you have it set up to suit your playing.
EMG pickup is passive, and I've made them with P90, PAF and regular Tele pickups too. I don't usually play at enormously loud volumes, so feedback isn't really an issue for me.

Do you feel feedback would be an issue at higher volumes? The p90 in the neck sounds very interesting. What do they normally go for?

I'm putting together another couple of these, so I'll roadtest one at my blues club and let you know how I get on at gigging volume. Costs vary depending on spec, but around GBP325 (no case) plus shipping.

what string guage are you using?
TheRemedyRocks 2 years ago
String gauges are 012 - 056, but the top could go up in weight a bit as I'm usually tuned to open G or open D.
