@frobsey Yes It is an Elkie Brooks cover, as Elkie was the only singer to bring it into the charts. Elkie is a great singer.

@Eamonn20a Just listened to it and it is no where near as amazing as Buckley's version. No one can even touch the emotion that came out each time Jeff sang.

Why do people say this is a Nina Simone cover. It was recorded by a lot of people before Buckley, not only Simone.The only singer to have chart success with this song was Elkie Brooks.
