Personal Trainer Michael Behnken, MS, NASM-CPT-PES, CSCS

If you use a heavy weight for this exercise you will not only work your chest, but your serratus anterior, and core muscles.

Your serratus anterior or "riblets" is a muscle you will only see if you are extremely low body fat.

Keep your shoulders completely level while you perform this at all times. Make sure as with all chest exercises your shoulder blades are retracted and your core is drawn in.

See if you can perform an equal number of reps on each side. Iso lateral or 1 side at a time exercises are good to sprinkle in during any training program.
