Galactica....Devils!

@80srama1 You mean the 2003 version.
-
I like both scenes, though the scene from Starblazers (and its original Yamato) are incredibly suspenseful (no small feat for tv animation in the 70's). I will say that Starblazers was a better written show than the Galatica of the 70's, and if this show did inspire Ron Moore or the writers on the 90's version, then the influence paid off in well- well written space opera, a welcome antidote to Phantom Menace trauma.

I'm a longtime Yamato fan, and thought briefly about this similarity when the Galactica finale' aired, but hardly think of it as theft. Ships have always rammed and boarded. Two good shows using the same good idea in different circumstances.

The Enterprise did the same thing in 'Star Trek: Nemesis."

LOL I watched both of these and since I hadn't seen the first season of Starblazers in almost 30 years I totally forgot This was sweet too bad we could see more I want to see the Cylons fighting each other again

@moneybagzz George Lucas is well known for ripping whatever he wants from whoever he wants and he gets away with it.
-
Well I was referring to a live action version of Starblazers in general.
-
Hollywood would RUIN it.

"I wish someone would make a Hollywood version of Starblazers!"
Hah, they've been beaten to it. I've already seen the live action trailer for it.
I would not be surprised if Ron Moore, creator of BSG, was a fan of Star Blazers.
