I Hate to inform this to anybody but Paul Yandell passed away yesterday he was 76 he will be missed.

Unless I'm misreading Blastingcaps post, I think he was actually trying to convey how much influence Chet and other forerunners has had on modern guitarists. By "plugging in this shit", I thought he meant one of the differences between the genres was not the talent but the electronics available now. Regardless, these guys are tops

I find it amazing that so called great guitarists have to feed their sound through processors and effects to get "great sound" when pickers like Chet can amaze you with acoustics.
