@donicwolf If you are trying to sell directly on eBay to make a profit (on the front end), you will probably not be successful whether you use Doba or go directly to the supplier/wholesaler themselves. eCommerce and auction sales is not that straight-forward anymore. Still, there are ways of being success doing this and Doba still offers one of the best services to test new markets and products, even use as a long-term supplier.

i used DOBA on ebay and most of the product's at my cost was the selling price on ebay. I had 2 sells in 4 month's. Plus i had to cancel order's because of stock alway's running out. I made a mistake not to research the selling prices on Ebay. I think it's best to get true wholesale prices instead.

@afy300 Not only seller can suffer but some higher end manufacturers are worried about how their product is being represented. If their product is good but some retailer is using it for a scam it will hurt their brand.
Thank you Matt. Great info on Doba. Question: Do I have to buy the products before selling them or can I pick the products I want to sell and whether sold or not theres no risk? Sorry trying to simply say do you pay wholesale before you can actually list the products?

@thatsrealcash With this system, you would not usually buy the products until someone purchases them. Doba usually provides you a current quantity available. (of course, there is a risk to selling something that may sell out, but Doba provides guidance on how to handle this). This is the great thing about this dropshipper...there is very little risk up front and no real product to pre-purchase. Then, when someone buys, you buy it on their behalf and ship it to them through Doba!

I dont understand. Why do so many people talk about having to establish some sort of relationship with the supplier? its business isnt it? If the supplier sells their wholesale goods at the price they want....why the hell do they want some sort of friggin relationship? why not just make a deal agreeing to the terms both the buyer and supplier are happy with and call it day? I dont understand all this "relationship" talk.

@afy300 The "relationship" with your vendor is one of the more important things with eCommerce. It allows you to negotiate lower prices, it assures you a consistent product source, & when things "go wrong" you have someone you can work with. If your supplier fails in any way, it is your business that will suffer the most. It is this lack of a relationship that kills most eCommerce online.

Doba is a great service provider and the fee that you pay takes care of much of the work that is required to source products (like find the product, contact the vendor, organize dropshipping, etc.). Using Doba is low risk, too, because they do not require a resellers license. That being said, trying to just "dropship" items directly on eBay is not trivial, either. Lots of competition/loss leaders. Doba offers a good service, but remember that selling anything online is more than a hobby.
