Artist: Peggy Lee
Song: Why Don't You Do Right
Album: Moments Like This
Lyrics:
You had plenty money, 1922
You let other women make a fool of you
Why don't you do right, like some other men do?
Get out of here and get me some money too
You're sittin' there and wonderin' what it's all about
You ain't got no money, they will put you out
Why don't you do right, like some other men do?
Get out of here and get me some money too
If you had prepared twenty years ago
You wouldn't be a-wanderin' from door to door
Why don't you do right, like some other men do?
Get out of here and get me some money too
get out of here and get me some money toooooooooooooooooooooo
fucking awesome.

@WindowsBreakerG4 They had mixing boards in 1942. In Columbia studios, they used a total of 6 mikes and inputs. The magic was in the studios. Mixers had little they could do on the boards, so mike placement and sonics were paramount.

I don't think my cousin Gene Krupa was with Benny Goodman yet. Anyone know the year this was made? My cousin Gene was born in 1909.

this is so gorgeous.. l love the ways it's done. i like Peggy, and the way she sings and accompanied with her facial expression.. she's so cute. And Benny moves, and looks at her like.. 'what a cutie' and he dances good too. to me, it's good to see Benny at this time of his life. i only saw him when he was old. i heard he was pretty demanding and did not tolerate wrong doing from his musicians. i'm not sure he would let any of his musicians hook up with her.. cuz i can see it in his eyes.. lol.

I like it very much !!!, it does sounds just great !!!, amazing !!!, easy flow ... ... and absolutely not as sterile as most of the modern and actual music.

What really amazes me about this I guess is that it was done all off 1 mic as the mixing board wouldn't come about till 1958. The arranging of musicians makes it so it just flows and mixes well, pretty amazing if you think about it.
