Great job looks like a lot of time to put it together. I just recently picked up the PMDG MD-11, great aircraft.

@SeIebrity It's totally beautiful - I have quite a few real life photograph images saved on my PC, which I took from airliners(dot)net - I really like their livery repaint: it is simple and outstanding.

Great video! I was thinking to myself, "No way I'm watching 15 minutes of this" but I sure did! Having worked (non-flying) on and around the FDX MD11, I'd also like to say that plane looks really good.

Nice vid!! I just got this AC today (Christmas 2011) and I must say I am up a gumtree with it. I have flown the PMDG 747 and the PMDG 737NGX and I find them easy but this beast has got me stumped at the moment!

@TheGospelTrain I know exactly what you mean. The brilliance of this aircraft is in the way you operate it. It is completely different from the 747/737. This goes towards everything, starting from the startup of the aircraft itself and ending with the FMC - keep in mind, the FMC on this bird is, well, let's just say, a completely manual version of the 747/737 FMC. Learn to fly this bird, and you will pretty much guess your way around any other advanced aircraft :) Merry Xmas! :D

@SubSevenHacker Thanks for your encouragements. I found a guy on a VA as I fly online at VATSIM and he has flown almost 5000 hours in this bird. He did a complete walkthrough with me and I have now begun to understand 100% more than I did a few days ago. From a cold start to getting the aircraft airborne is becoming fairly easy now. My sticky part now is the descent on a STAR and getting it to catch the LOC for a ILS landing! - Hope you had a great Christmas and thanks!

@TheGospelTrain the most exciting stuff comes when you start flying with failures. I have been flying A LOT of failure flights, and I have yet to have crashed - that also includes the unlikely failure of 20+ things, which I let my friends set for me without looking - nothing beats descending into an airport with one engine, attempting to line up with the runway, only to realise that while you were descending you had a hydraulics leak and have to land using the rudder/elevator!
