this shit has some serious adhesion if used right i have a 55 year old car and this stuff worked great over 200 dollars for new carpet but i used flat black over blue and it looked good just make sure u vaccum nicely and paint in multiple coats also use about a 50% over lap on each pass just like u would paint the outside of your car the can has a very nice fan tip

about how many cans did it take to cover the carpet? and did u rub it in?

@mlowreyp71 I used about 3 cans on the carpet. But i was covering a dark color already. It may take more for you since you are covering a lighter color.

when i try to paint my tan seats black it seems like the tan is still showing..how many cans would it take to get good coverage

@mlowreyp71 atleast 3-4 coats.Wait until it dries before you add another coat. Allow seats to cure atleast 24-48 hrs before use

I highly recommend anyone who is thinking about painting their carpet, that they use a can of the same color as the carpet. I cleaned and sprayed the carpet in my eclipse black from gray and used 6 cans and the same day it flaked off.

@Jtapia031 As long a you are spraying the same or a darker color. You wouldnt get very good coverage if you were trying to paint black carpet light grey or tan. I went from dark blue to black and it turned out fine. It really depends on how much traffic it gets as well
