@LS1LT1 That's just what I thought. The camera lingered on them long enough to make it significant, not just some extra scene dressing. That, and their garb and voices and their body language... It HAS to be Gram & emmy-lou.

First off, I loved this movie, possibly my favorite movie of the last 15 years.
I had wondered for years who those two singing in the hotel room with the acoustic guiter were supposed to be but could never find the info.
The one day I found it...there is rumor that it is supposed be Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris. Gram Parsons died in 1973 (not long after that scene was supposed to be taking place) and Emmylou of course went on to a great solo career.
