In the video, it SHOULD be that 62 percent of bankruptcies are cause from loss of pay because the people lost their ability to work.....the medical bill come later and are the factor that ALLOWS them to go bancrupt.

To clarify. everyone regardless of ablitity to pay gets healthcare.

The people who lose their homes lose them because they can't make the payments because of loss pay.

Those who have their healthcare bills paid by their healthcare insurance might not have enough other bills to go bancrupt with.

Those without healthcare insurance will automatically qualify for a bancruptcy therefore dismisses all healthcare bills and ALL other debt.

In fact, a person who gets sick and can't work because of illness will be better off in the end because he will have healthcare bills that will allow them to go bancrupt which dismisses those bills and ALL the other debts you have.

Someone with health insurance that still can't work will still lose their home but might not be able to havethe rest of their bills excused because they won't meet the criteria to go bancrupt.

When you go bancrupt because of medical bills, you still get to keep your home as long as you keep up the payments, same thing with your car.

You also get relief from all other debt except goverment loans in a bancruptcy even if unrelated to your medical bills.

The losing of your home is because your illness has prevented you froom working and keepiing up the paymens not because you didn't have healthcare insurance to pay the bills.

This video totally captures the problem but then offers a bogus solution.

First the govt. bailed out the finacial / insurance monopolies.

Now the govt. claims they need to form a govt. insurance scam to compete with the monopolies we just bailed out.

The tax-payer is being told to finance both "sides" of the competition.

What we are witnessing is the over-throw of the government by the monopolies that run it, all the while they are trying to make it look the other way around.

Um. This is weird. I replied to a post by "jdtoothnail" that was much longer than the one now leading this thread, and contained quite a bit of hateful language. What's more, it had 3 "thumbs down" minus points attached to it, and this one has none. I don't know how this backward editing is done, but it is discouraging.
