This highly anticipated chapter in the Battlestar Galactica saga takes place in the midst of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, gifted fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino, The Borgias), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and hungry for action, Adama quickly finds himself at odds with his co-pilot, the battle-weary officer Coker (Ben Cotton, Alcatraz). With only 47 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle just as much as Adama craves the start of it. Though they clash at first, the two men forge an unlikely bond when a routine escort mission with an enigmatic passenger (Lili Bordán, Silent Witness) turns unexpectedly dangerous.

Utilizing cutting edge CGI and virtual set technology, Blood & Chrome is produced by Universal Cable Productions and the award-winning producing team of Battlestar Galactica. Executive produced by David Eick (Battlestar Galactica, Caprica), Michael Taylor (Battlestar Galactica, Caprica) wrote the teleplay from a story by Eick, Bradley Thompson (Battlestar Galactica, Falling Skies) and David Weddle (Battlestar Galactica, Falling Skies) and directed by Jonas Pate (Prime Suspect, Caprica).

This was a pilot, one of the first to use almost exclusively, advanced CGI...scans of the old BSG set were used(they were taken in 2009, before the sets were destroyed.) It did not get picked up. Scyfy put chose some ghost hunting reality show, and Netflix, wich may have picked it up, chose "house of cards" instead. Sinply following the trend toward more cheap, reality TV. This is why series with good ratings are cancelled as well. After4-6 seasons, there are enough episodes for syndication
