The Family Research Council has attacked the United State's Government for wanting setting aside some $250,000 in order to appeal to lesbians and gays to ride Amtrak. According to the FRC "Yet Washington is targeting the demographically small homosexual population-probably because marketing surveys suggest it is also one of the richest. So let's be honest. This Administration is more interested in riding the gravy train than getting the culture back on track."

  • Maddow for President!

  • The FRC is missing the other really ominous point! Taking mass transit is more environmentally friendly! And all of this environmentally friendly bru-ha-ha is a big scary liberal lie! There is no global warming! Don't tread on me! Etc! <--- sarcasm

  • where is Samuel L. Jackson?

  • @jadenvlad shes gay herself :P and that was the family research crackpots who said that

  • @jadenvlad Honey, relax. Rachel Maddow (she's the smart lady who said "the gays" that upset you so much) is a Lesbian. She was being tongue-in-cheek. She does that. I promise she's not using humour to hide her "discomfortness" - she's using humour to keep from pulling her own hair out.

  • @orge121 The "false equivalency" is the fact that any right-wing group can get uncritical reporting in most media outlets. If anyone, like Maddow, calls them out factually they are called partisan and biased. Representatives of FRC should be given the same critical treatment that SETI is given in the media not as if they are the equivalent to but opposite of HRC or other LGBT rights organizations.

  • @orge121 I mean unapologetically....my bad

  • @edgwaterprog "False equivalency"? Rachael Maddow is apologetically liberal, MSNBC barley tries to hid the fact. Its not a false equivalency... it is equivalency. I am not comparing FOX and MSNBC on some moral scale or something...saying on it right (haha) and wrong...I am saying that they both provide a biased take on the days news.

Oh and the FRC is a research organization....just because they look into something you dont agree with does not make them illegitimate. What about SETI?

  • @ChrisBowlas They would surely use the very rumor of compulsary homosexuality in their next fundraising campaign. Of course their supporters are of ignorant enough to believe it.

  • @orge121 As usual the right-wing "false equivalency". Growup orge121!

  • @nonmaleficence Environmentalism is soooo gay!

  • At least Rachel doesn't t treat FRC as a legitimate research organization, as Anderson Cooper does. Someone needs to buy Anderson Cooper a crowbar so he can pry his face out of the ass-crack of Tony Perkins and the family-so-called-research council. "Oh Tony, I love it when you call me your little abomination."
