  • I was telling my family that this group existed. They did not believe me!! Where are the twins + one now?

  • It was the Sullivan Show in 1969. they were brought to Motown and groomed first. I want you back was their first on Motown in "69." Trust me on this one, I was back there and watching them on our blw T.V. I'm 54 years old, now you know I know.

  • This version of the PT+! "You Send Me" is the album version; the single version has a totally different vocal mix than the lp and was the one that got radio airplay; for the single mix, the lead singer sings solo up until the 2nd verse, where he is then joined by the rest of the group. I tend to like the single version more but both are excellent. The B-side, "Hey Girl" is a great song, too, the breakdown has a little jazz feel to it that even J5 could not tackle. Love You, Sylvia; Miss You, Joe

  • @Sheila1775 You have connected the dots: both PT+1 and Spoonbread were products of All Platinum Records, headed by Joe & Sylvia ("Pillow Talk") Robinson in 1971; All Platinum was the little NJ label that could (i.e. with a legendary roster of The Moments, The Whatnauts and, of course, Sylvia), yet they did not have the distribution to carry the records to the national level in sales; while there is a comparison to J5, both groups totally had their own grooves enjoyed by kids and adults alike.
