Great vid. LRT FTW! I live in the Los Angeles area so I certainly relate to what is mentioned. Although I must say I disagree with the notion that LA has no defined residential or commercial areas. In fact its just the opposite, its the very strict zoning laws that severely fragment all of these areas to the point where it is only one or the other and little mixed use, which in turn perpetuates so many of the problems we have right now. We need more mixed use infill and certainly more rail.
In LA, one needs only a motorcycle or scooter for alone commute. True nobody needs a car except for weekly shopping and outings- the weathers great. Buses everywhere too. Bicycles? For 40 mile day commutes?. Comparing Copenhagen with LA is ridiculous. Copenhagen is a planned feudal village. LA is an unrestrained bastion of freedom- not for people who like being herded in control grids with heavy regulation and tax. If being nannied makes you feel safe and warm, move elsewhere.
